Starting I believe near the end of the school year of 2015, I became a participant in the Richmond Youth Works organization to try to find a job for the summer. I origionally wanted to work for Richmond Pacific Railroad who has a contract with Richmond Youth Works. The Richmond Youth Works cordinator told me that the railroad did not return any of his calls, so he made a deal with me. The deal was, the is a group called Hack The Hood. He told me that the group will be putting together computer websites, and apps. So I agreed to become a part of the group. So starting on the date of July 13, 2015, was my first day participating with the Hack The Hood group.
I have been enjoying myself being a part of the Hack The Hood organization and I am stoked that I am getting to meet all these new people and bond with them. I hope that being a part of this group will teach me something I can take into the future. I am looking forward to working with the passenger railroad named amtrak. I am planning to be a locomotive engineer and it takes technical skills to operate the modern locomotives.
I am hoping I can get as many technical skills as possible. Working with any railroad requires technical skills. Modern locomotives have computers built into the dash boards. I am hoping that the Hack the Hood will be an awesome experience for me.
