What a great experience I had visiting Pandora. Pandora open their doors for Hack The Hood. I had a great experience because I’ve never been there and I use Pandora a lot. It was cool learning all about of the different types of work at Pandora, meeting people who do that work and learning what they do in order keep the company running. I also learned that in Pandora you can submit your own song and don’t need to have a big record deal. I think this is really cool because then unknown artists can get their music heard.
I went to Pandora and it was pretty cool. They hooked up all the Hack the Hood students at Ryse some earphones and a notebook made by Pandora. It was a short visit for me and enjoyed it. Will I go again? Was it completely fun?
Follow my blog and I will tell you more about it.
Here's a nice video about someone from Pandora.
It was my first time going too Pandora and my experience there was pretty cool. I like how the guy, I honestly forgot his name, gave a lot of information about Pandora. I asked the question on how did they come up with the name Pandora, and he said his the founder’s wife just threw in how she liked the name Pandora. It didn’t really mean anything, but the name just sounded catchy. I also liked the earbuds they gave us because I have a tendency to break earphones fast, and to know I have some backup ones is amazing. The room he gave the presentation in was very comforting, and it was all nice and very professional looking. I would like to visit there again.
