Hack The Hood has impacted my life a lot. It has given me the ability to become more independent, and more knowledgeable on technology. All the people here are the same! No one judges, it’s like I’m meant to be here! I’ve learned how to make websites which accesses more of my creative side. I never realized how creative I was until I got in this program.
I’ve also earned money, and it kept me occupied because I wasn’t doing anything else this summer. I’ve also gotten help from Armael about college, and he has given me a more broad look on it. Hack the Hood has given me a chance to talk to an actual therapist, Shante, who also gave me advice on how she got where she is now. I liked her because we come from the same environment, and I want to become a therapist so it was cool talking to her. Overall, I loved the program, and I’ve grown to love the people in it. I would recommend this program to any and everybody that I get a chance to. This program in my opinion has made me a much better person, and I thank everyone who had something to do with that.
